End of June can only mean one thing, Birthday Party! I've been wanting to go to Zietsies (in Brixton, JHB) for a long long time now, and this year was the year. We had a little cosy breakfast one cold Sunday morning and boy it was so much fun and the venue couldn't have been more perfect! The Glass Cage is a beautiful little dining area with a lovely view, chandeliers, plastic swans and a piano. We had an exquisite breakfast and a fantastic time. ▲ Superette - 66 Albert Rd

Discovered this great little neighbourhood café in Woodstock on our last trip to Cape Town. A whole new revamped Woodstock Exchange building at 66 Albert Road filled with creative everything! Superette is the lunch spot on the corner and a wonderful place to have a bite or get some work done. Loved the garden hanging from the ceiling :) So much of nice. Make sure to pay a visit if you're in the area.

Hey pretty peops :) Delightful new neighborhood coffee shop in Linden, Jozi (c/o 7th St & 4th Ave). This is exactly what what we've all been craving. Love the menu! Not your typical boring same old same old, how refreshing! Love the friendly owners, we felt right at home. I had a yum parmesan chicken sarmie (super delicious) and a Darling Brew slow beer. They have all the Darling beer I'll ever need. The Whippet is open from 6:30 - 16:00 weekdays (they have free wi-fi & plugs to charge your laptop) and open till 22:00 on a Friday for after work drinks. ▲ De Vette Mossel

Oh what fun we had and oh how stuffed we were! We visited De Vette Mossel beach restaurant (The Fat Mussel) in Groot Brak, Western Cape, South Africa this past holiday. It's built on a sand dune right on the beach. It's rustic, all natural with an amazing view and so só laid back. You can kick off your shoes as you enter and get a glass of wine on the house. You need to bring your own cooler with wine and drinks (as much as you like) and no corkage is charged, how nice! The menu includes an 8 course seafood dinner with coffee and koeksisters as dessert, not even to mention the heavenly freshly baked pot-bread, farm butter and jam that never runs out. YUM! After all of that we rolled home :)

▲ Babylonstoren

My husband and I visited Babylonstoren in the Cape Winelands a little while ago and what an amazing experience it was! It felt like I was experiencing a little bit of heaven that settled on this patch of earth. One of the most beautiful farms about 20min outside Stellenbosch.

Between the vineyards and donkeys grazing, they have the biggest herb garden I've ever seen. We walked in the garden for almost an hour and probably didn't see all of it. Flower plantations and little hidden paths along the stream to get lost on. We had lunch at the glass house. All the ingredients is freshly picked out of the garden and the most amazing sarmie you'll ever have! We also visited the restaurant, but wasn't able to eat there. Definitely next time! If you ever find yourself in the area, do yourself a favour! Much love and pretty places.

We're going to Stellenbosch this weekend and I was looking online for a few places to visit... and then I came accross The Birdcage Café :)) HAPPINESS! This looks like the perfect place to have breakfast on Saturday morning (and maybe do some shopping too). I found this lovely place on the Pretty Blog. All the images are also from there. Can't wait!

▲ District 6 Eatery

We discovered District 6 Eatery in Emmerentia this weekend and I am so impressed by this little gem! It's nice and cosy with the interior of a typical Cape District 6 house. The food is even better than your oumas' best Sunday lunch and people are really friendly and make you feel right at home. We had such nice breakfast at Clarke's bar & dining room. It's a cosy and unique little diner at 133 Bree street in Cape Town. Lots of pot plants, nice people and yummy food. If you get the chance, pop in :)

Emmerentia Dam

So this is "planning a wedding part 2". It works nicely in the sun at Emmerentia Dam. A great place for dog watching too! Although all the grass is brown (just for a little while longer) the sun did shine and it was a lovely day to play outside. We drove around for about an hour before we went because we decided we HAD to have a frisbee. They are hard to find these days. Great success +)

Motherland Coffee

How to plan a wedding, well, this is how we do it +) Motherland Coffee is one of my favourite little coffee shops. Amazing coffee (which is the most important), free wi-fi, super yummy blueberry and white chocolate muffins mmmmmhm and just a lovely cosy vibe. And needless to say an amazing place to get things done. It's in Rosebank Mall, Jozi. If you haven't been there, do give it a try. If you get there early enough you might get the couch!! <3

The Nest Vintage Shop

I bought these super cute handmade brooches from Nest Vintage Shop in Stellenbosch <3 I gave one to me Dani friend and the other one is for my sister. I just hope she doesn't see it before I get it to her. They have a little website too. Visit it here. Much love xxx

Birds Boutique Cafe, Very nice!

I went on a little trip to Cape Town with me mom. Oh what fun! Renier told me to go to the Birds Café. What a lovely little eatery at 127 Bree Street, Cape Town. Everyone must go! Quite small and understated, but put together so lovely. You sit on crates with super cool cushions, they play bird noises in the background and the menu is written on 3 A2 papers at the back. Yummy home baked scones and cakes and cookies mmmmhm. I had a almond, chocolate and cherry scone. YES! Amazing. And the second beer I've ever been able to finish in my life! Can I get a hells yeah! I can officially drink beer now +) It makes me a better person on the inside.

Clarens Brewery

Oh what fun!! We went to Clarens (a tiny town surrounded by mountains in the Freestate) this weekend. It was freeeeeezing, but so super! We stopped by the Clarens Brewery and had a little beer tasting. You taste 8 different "home made" beers and then you choose the one you like. YUM! I had an apple cider. <3

Odd Cafe, Greenside

I love you <3 What a lovely little odd spot in Greenside. Just a cosy little place with odd tables and chairs and some super yummy things. I had white chocolate cheese cake! Yes please! It was amazing +) They also showcase local artists and have really homey food (i just went for the sweet side of things though). Visit their blog here.

We're engaged! Part 2

The next morning we went to a very cute little restaurant called Chalkboard for breakfast. You can write and draw on the tables, OH JOY! I think it was the best muffin I had in my life! Chalkboard is also part of the shops at Main Street Life <3 I found the cute header I used from here.

Vovo Telo

One of my favourite little bakeries in Jozi is Vovo Telo. Lovely cakes, freshly baked breads and yummy treats and things do delight yourself in. Happy place! It's at 44 Stanley ave if you would like to visit. Here we are enjoying a lovely mini Lemon Meringue <3 yum

Fun in Parys

We had such a fun weekend in Parys. It's a very small, little gem town in the Freestate. Most of the town is antique shops and cute little restaurants. Oh what fun! I bought a pretty little antique cup and saucer. Will put it up later +)

Wolves Café, Illovo

Everyone loves Wolves Café! It's a little cosy, creative coffee shop in Corlett Drive. There's live music every Thursday night and Beer O' Clock on Fridays after work. They have freshly baked cup cakes, breakfast and even home made lemonade. If you haven't been there, where have you been?

The Patisserie, Illovo

This is the best discovery I've made in a very long time, thanks to toodoo.co.za. It's a little cosy, over decorated, very pink spot in Illovo. Ideal to meet the girls and have a naughty indulgence. What a big spoil! Find it at Shop 24 Post Office Centre, 30 Rudd rd, Illovo, Johannesburg.
